JOHAN SMITH
Chief Executive Officer
Being the Chairman and CEO of Vista International, Inc., Mr. Smith also takes the position of the Chairman of the Board with Vista International Technologies, Inc. which is a public company that Vista International, Inc. has the controlling interest. Mr. Smith contributed his experience and wisdom to develop a strategic vision for the company. Combining In combining four primary operating divisions and one R&D division into a significant technology portfolio has resulted in synergy among the technologies that have enabled the company to be the leader in the renewable energy industry. Most recently he was appointed as an observer to an international organization known as the APP (Asia Pacific Partnership) along with other gentlemen from an 80 year old NYSE firm.
Mr. Smith has over twenty-six years of progressive experience in business development, strategic alliances, and financial markets. After departing Sam Houston State University, Mr. Smith provided business consulting services to a number of domestic and international organizations, including Air 21, Global Air Cargo, Texas Fire and Safety, Dow Chemical, Shell, MCI/WorldCom, Negev Technologies, Lucent, Ericsson, Lockheed Martin, GTE, FedEx, and American Airlines, to name a few. Mr. Smith negotiated agreements for commercial developments in the US, mainland China, the Caribbean, South America, Mexico, Europe, and in a number of countries. Some of the projects were the following industries: entertainment centers and theme parks in southern California and China, airport mixed-use commercial/industrial developments in the US and China, telecommunications, aviation, environmental developments, commercial developments and a number of other projects.
Over the last three years, Mr. Smith has developed relationships with a number of high ranking government officials in China, Mexico, St. Lucia, Europe, Bulgaria and Israel, which have helped him to secure the more than $15.0 billion USD in back-log of projects for the technologies that are now starting to encompass Vista International, Inc. core technology base. Within the last two years he has assembled a group of environmentally conscious technologies, that when synergistically combined, enable them to become far stronger than if they were operating independently. He has developed the financial relationships to fund these developments and related ventures with several NYSE firms and international development banks. These projects have ranged in value from $25 million to well over $5.0 billion USD. Mr. Smith is one of the founders of Alternative Energy Solutions, LLC and Vista International, Inc.
TIMOTHY PEACH
Chief Financial Officer of of Vista International Technologies, Inc.
As the director of Vista International, Inc., Mr. Peach has been appointed as the CFO of Vista International Technologies, Inc. (originally named as Nathaniel Energy) which Vista has the controlling interest since Aug. 2, 2007. Mr. Peach was the CFO of Nathaniel Energy from July 8, 2005 to November 2006. Timothy Peach joined the company as Vice President of Finance in October 2004. Mr. Peach has over 25 years of proven experience in finance, administration and operations and helping turn companies around that have great promise. Mr. Peach spent over ten years with Price-Waterhouse Coopers in the Pittsburgh and Denver offices, focusing primarily on consulting with international, publicly traded companies in technology, refining, manufacturing and banking business sectors. Mr. Peach's background includes senior executive financial positions in medical equipment and telecommunications industries. As Vice President Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for Convergent Group Corporation, a large scale systems integration and consulting firm in the utility industry, Mr. Peach was an integral participant in that company's redesign and implementation of internal management systems and financial reporting, restructuring and improving operating structures, and its successful initial public offering. In 2000, that company was acquired by SchlumbergerSema, oil and gas information and operating support company. He served as Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President Finance of SchlumbergerSema North American Operations. In this position, Mr. Peach managed the integration of Convergent Group Corporation and two other business units focused on the manufacture of utility meters and technologically advanced remote meter reading systems for the utility industry through 2002. Immediately prior to joining us, Mr. Peach provided the technical accounting support for a successful initial public offering by Affordable Residential Communities, Inc., a real estate investment trust, and was engaged as an advisor to Duke Energy Field Services, Inc., an oil and gas transportation and processing company, in the development of and overview of their Sarbanes-Oxley compliance programs. Mr. Peach holds a B.S and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and is a member of the AICPA and the Pennsylvania Institute of Public Accountants.
BARRY KEMBLE
Chief Executive Officer/Director of of Vista International Technologies, Inc.
As a Director of Vista International, Inc., Mr. Kemble also takes the Director and CEO position in Vista International Technologies, Inc. (originally named as Nathaniel Energy) which is a public company that Vista International, Inc. has the controlling interest. Mr. Kemble has been with Vista since December 2005. Mr. Kemble has over 30 years experience in engineering, operations, and business development and information technology in the energy industry. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo in Chemical Engineering with an M.B.A. from the University of Windsor. Mr. Kemble started his career with Union Gas Ltd. in Canada, which has become a subsidiary of Duke Energy. Mr. Kemble held executive positions in Engineering, Human Resources, and Information Technology. After leaving Union Gas, he became an executive with Convergent Group, a former subsidiary of Schlumberger. Mr. Kemble was responsible for the energy consulting practice including business development activities across 4 continents. Mr. Kemble was Co-founder of OmegaSix Group, a consulting practice specializing in commercial proposal responses. Prior to joining Vista, Mr. Kemble was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of WRC Corporation, a premier service company providing engineering and land services to the North American pipeline industry.
RALPH BELDEN
Vice President of Technology
Wind: Mr. Belden has been working with Vista International for more than 2 years and is the original founder/inventor for the low speed wind turbine technology. With 9 years Lead Product Manager/Designer for Astron Energies; 10 years Chief Engineer at Trans-World Carburetor, Taiwan; 14 years inventing/engineering wind turbines; 30+ years of industry engineering & manufacturing experience.
CHRIS KENNEDY
Vice President of Communications
A senior executive and Certified Business Communicator (CBC), Ms. Kennedy has over 15 years experience leading strategic marketing initiatives and business development efforts for business-to-business information technology products and services in the energy, utilities, telecommunications and medical markets. She managed the global marketing efforts of the Oracle Energy division with teams in Europe and the Middle East. She also led consulting sales activities in large regional telecommunications accounts for Oracle Communications and Utilities and generated $21 million in bookings. Ms. Kennedy was instrumental in the successful launch of a systems integration firm in conjunction with EDS, and the repositioning of a technology consulting firm to IT leadership in the utilities industry. She also developed the brand and marketing strategies that drove the product suite of a leading oil and gas data firm to industry dominance. In addition to the marketing efforts, she managed well-received public relations initiatives for the rollout of several high profile technology products in the oil and gas and medical markets. She has been responsible for third-party vendor selection and relationship management critical to the delivery of products and services. Ms. Kennedy developed the framework and content for seven industry-recognized books on leading hydrocarbon provinces for the oil and gas industry. Her book on the Overthrust Belt was instrumental in the construction of the Trailblazer Pipeline from the East Coast to the Rockies, and her book on Geothermal Energy was the first overview of its type produced on this alternative resource. With a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado, Ms Kennedy is an active member of the Business Marketing Association ?Colorado Chapter. Her marketing work has won numerous marketing awards through the chapter for direct mail, brand identity and product promotion.
JOHN MATHEWS
Vice President of Technology Development
Mr. Mathews has been with Vista since January 2005, and assists in managing all current and future technology developments, with a focus for last 6 months on the deployment and installation of a wind turbine here in Colorado. He is a trained systems and electrical engineer with over 18 years experience in electronics, wide/local area networks, and telecommunications and control/monitoring systems, along with various electrical applications regarding a number of Vista technologies. Mr. Mathews has a BS in Electrical Engineering and has various Cisco and Microsoft certifications. He brings to Vista more than 13 years of experience in Saudi Arabia with Hughes Aircraft/Raytheon, ensuring that the technical aspects of Vista various projects run smoothly and currently focusing on our wind technology.
ERIC CHAVIS
VP Government Relations
Mr. Chavis is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke (UNCP) and has over twenty-five years of experience in progressive management capacities. He has vast experience in recruiting and training personnel, supervising and evaluating employees, and planning and providing logistics. He also has extensive experience in providing administrative support and meeting deadlines under strict time schedules. Mr. Chavis is trained and experienced in the protection of personnel and materiel assets. He is proficient in operations management, procurement, supply and inventory control, budget management and implementation, and technical writing and editing much of which was accomplished while serving in the US Navy. Mr. Chavis has designed and executed security and safety protection compliance services to commercial and government clients to satisfy federal and state operational mandates. He has specific expertise providing problem analysis and resolution services for DOD, FEMA, and national intelligence agencies with collateral and highly sensitive national programs. Additionally, he has knowledge of American Indian federal regulations. He developed marketing strategy and opportunities for businesses owned by American Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Corporations (ANC) enrolled in the Small Business Administration 8(a) program. He has supported the FAA Air Traffic Requirements branch as liaison between the procurement branch and associated unions, to ensure Air Traffic procedures and system requirements meet operational standards. He has drafted FAA Congressional responses on risk assessments and cost-benefit studies for air traffic enhancements and potential installment of new aviation equipment.
